Dr Kirsty Agar-Jacomb

Kirsty is an executive and leadership coach who works with senior leaders who have hit a bump in the road. Unlike most other coaches she’s an accredited Coaching Psychologist. She has 20 years of training and experience in why humans think and behave the way they do and over 12,000 face-to-face hours helping clients to do thinking and behaving in a completely different way. She’s a bit like a super socially and emotionally skilled nerd! Kirsty loves helping her clients become the sort of leader they want to be and build the sort of life they want to live.

Kirsty brings the worlds of psychology and business together through coaching, consulting, training, and facilitation. Her leadership experience includes governance, strategic planning, workforce development, and leading service development, change, and quality improvement initiatives.

She also has extensive experience in workshop development and facilitation covering workplace wellbeing, team development, leadership, and women in leadership.

Coaching clients include senior-level managers and high-potential leaders working in a variety of industries including healthcare, higher education, law, IT, council, science and research, finance, sport, social enterprise, corporate, and professional services.

As an Accredited Coaching Psychologist, her areas of specialty include productivity & vitality; self-awareness & self-management; relationship management; motivation & engagement; adaptability & creativity; purpose; and psychosocial challenges that emerge in a workplace. Kirsty has a special interest in working with women in leadership and working parents.

Kirsty’s style is collaborative and empowering while holding an expectation that you can learn to draw on skills, strengths, supports, and new ways of understanding yourself, to develop the capacity to thrive and succeed both at work and in life. Kirsty partners with you so that you can consider all stakeholders’ perspectives, add ‘range’ and flexibility to your skillset, experiment with and find solutions, adaptably choose and apply what works best in any given situation, and make the changes that matter to you.

Kirsty helps you find clarity and direction, and then build capacity and confidence to take action. Her work draws from an Acceptance and Commitment framework (ACT), Focused ACT (FACT), Positive Psychology, mindfulness, neuroscience, Solution-Focused approaches, and more.
